Re-funcionalización y ampliación de un edificio existente en el campus del Hospital Universitario Austral. El desafío consistió en reconvertir y ampliar la edificación anteriormente utilizada como bioterio en un nuevo espacio de oficinas. Se buscó reinterpretar los materiales utilizados comúnmente en el campus (ladrillo visto, metal negro) en un lenguaje más contemporáneo, consiguiendo cierta familiaridad en un edificio claramente nuevo.

Refurbishment and expansion of an existing building within the Hospital Universitario Austral campus. The challenge was to turn an abandoned construction (originally a vivarium) into a new office building. We used materials typically found in many of the campuses’ buildings (exposed brick, black metal) in a more contemporary way, achieving a degree of familiarity and harmony with a (very clearly) new building.
